I don’t understand people like this. Not talking about MCR fans in particular, but people who put up this front of hating certain kinds of music just because it doesn’t fit their persona.
Have you ever realised that you might actually like electronic music and other forms of music you thought you hated, but you’re just using a few explicit examples to shape your opinions on the genre?

Okay, let’s clear a few things up. I teach music, I can play around 7 instruments and the hardest things musically I’ve ever tried to do was get into creating electronic music. I’ve been trying to do it for the past 5 months now properly, with next to nothing in the way of progress. The first 5 months of me playing guitar, I could play Nirvana, Green Day, Blink (All the gay pop-punk/grunge crap which just used powerchords). Can you make music on a computer? Yes. Is it a musical instrument? Yes. Is anyone who says different living in the past? Yes.
